Yes. Faith in Mind can be taken as a stand-alone module. It is suitable for anyone wanting to build a comprehensive foundational understanding without committing to the full programme initially.

Yes. Many learners choose to start with Faith in Mind and then progress to Units 2 (Identifying) and 3 (Managing) at a later stage. Progression routes will be explained when you complete Unit 1 (Faith in Mind) In sha Allah .

  • Faith in Mind (FIM) focuses on understanding mental health through an Islamic lens and can be taken independently.
  • The full MMHC programme (Units 1–3) provides deeper skills in identifying and managing mental health challenges and leads to the Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Muslim Mental Health.

No prior qualifications or experience are required. The programme is designed to be accessible, while still being professionally robust, and is suitable for both beginners and those with existing experience.

The programme is suitable for individuals interested in Muslim mental health, including those in pastoral, support, care, education, community, or leadership roles, as well as individuals seeking personal understanding and development.

The programme is delivered by SLM Wellbeing, with input from experienced practitioners and professionals working at the intersection of mental health, faith, and community practice. Full details of the trainers will be shared with enrolled learners.

Yes. The full programme leads to a Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Muslim Mental Health, accredited by NCFE CACHE - an Ofqual-regulated awarding body. Faith in Mind on its own does not lead to certification but can count towards progression.

The programme is delivered primarily in person, using interactive teaching, reflective discussion, case studies, and applied learning. This creates a supportive and engaging learning environment. Please keep checking this page for details of all our active cohorts

Delivery Format

Learning is delivered through 90 guided learning hours plus 35 hours of non-class work. Teaching is highly interactive and primarily in person, combining reflective exercises, applied learning, and assessment designed to strengthen understanding of both theory and practice.
